The International Macro Business Simulation Global Competition 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together over 60 teams from 27 universities across Thailand and 11 countries worldwide. The two-day event, held September 7-8, 2024, was a dynamic showcase of strategic thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The competition kicked off on September 7 with an opening address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apisit Songsasen, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning at Kasetsart University. Associate Professor Dr. Sasivimol Meeampol, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, followed with her insights and vision for the event, setting the tone for an inspiring and challenging day ahead. Arthur Hsiao, CEO of GT Top-Boss Education, delivered an engaging talk about the MBS experience, emphasizing the realistic business challenges that participants would face and the importance of strategic thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Mr. Supakit Nakarajou, Managing Director of GT Technology Ltd., then spoke about the importance of technology in modern business and education, highlighting the relevance of the skills being tested in the competition. September 5, 2024 – Associate Professor Dr. Waranpong Boonsiritomachai, Director and Secretary of the KU BBA International Program, along with Mr. Gerald Lim, Guest Lecturer of the KU BBA International Program, visited Assumption College Sriracha to promote the BBA KU International Program. This visit coincided with the 80th founding anniversary of Assumption College Sriracha. September 4, 2024 – The KU BBA International Program recently visited St. Andrews International School, Sukhumvit 107. Our esteemed Chairman of the Board of Directors led the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Thamrongsak Svetalekth, along with our enthusiastic BBA students and staff. During the visit, we had the opportunity to present our program and engage with the bright and eager students of St. Andrews. The “Back to School” event occurred in the function hall on the 5th floor of the Faculty of Business Administration on August 25, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event welcomed the BBA International Program’s first-year students (Batch 5), inaugurated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thamrongsak Svetalekth, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the BBA International Program. The first-year students dedicated the morning sessions to brainstorming and personality development activities. Second, third, and fourth-year student officers formally introduced the new students to the BBA family in the afternoon, extending warm welcomes. Senior students shared their experiences, encouraging active participation in BBA International Program activities to foster friendship and community. Mr. Karn Wisesratana won the majority of votes from his peers to become the new president of the first-year students during the event. The event concluded with the distribution of lucky prizes to the students. Dr. Eakapat Manitkajornkit, the Director of the BBA International Program and Assoc. We were honored to host Dr. Savanid (Nui) Vatanasakdakul, Associate Teaching Professor in Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar Campus, and President of the Qatar chapter of the Association of Information Systems (AIS), as a guest lecturer. Dr. Vatanasakdakul delivered insightful lectures to our 1st-year students on several crucial topics, including Linking Systems to Strategy and Organization, Strategic Use of Information Resources in the Global Economy, Organizational Strategies at the Managerial Level, and Information System Culture. The KU BBA International Program proudly hosted the Summer School International Program 2024 from July 9 to July 27, 2024, offering students an enriching and transformative summer. The program commenced with an orientation on July 8, 2024. Dr. Suparerk Sooksrmar, Associate Dean for Business Administration, warmly welcomed the international students from other countries. The event featured an inspiring opening speech by Dr. Eakapat Manitkajornkit, Director of the KU BBA International Program. Dr. Joefrey Geroche, KU BBA International Coordinator, moderated the orientation. Additionally, Dr. Bordin Rasameethes extended a warm welcome to Mr. Carter and Mr. Rossie Chu, representatives from Honey Hills International Group, who were instrumental in organizing this year’s summer school. From July 30 to August 1, 2024, at The Regent Cha Am Beach Resort, the arrival of new Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) International Program students at Kasetsart University was celebrated. The NUBI 2024 event was packed with fun, learning, and bonding experiences, beginning an exciting academic journey for the new members. On the first day, they started visiting The Chang Hua Man Project in Phetchaburi. Students had the opportunity to explore rural communities and learn about the late King Rama IX’s farm research center. This insightful trip provided a deeper understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and community development.
